Mr. Robert Weeman, "Bobby"

Bobby was born on Staten Island - the first of four children and the first grandchild of the maternal and paternal families. He attended Public School 18 and Public School 12 elementary schools, and Curtis High School on Staten Island. For financial reasons he had to delay his college education.

During that period he pursued the following careers:

  • He was a New York City Policeman on 42nd Street in Manhattan for four years.
  • He was a New York City Fireman on Staten Island - Ladder 85 in New Dorp, Staten Island for sixteen years.
  • During this time, and by re-arranging his work schedule with the chief's approval, he was able to attend college to obtain the necessary degree to qualify for teaching in the New York City public schools.
  • He was a Captain in the New York State National Guard for twenty years.

After retiring from the New York City Fire Department, he became A READING LAB TEACHER in Intermediate School 49 on Staten Island for twenty years. He continued, during this time as a teacher, to further his education, during which time he attained:
